The essential benefits of VITRULAN®
backing and reinforcing fabrics caused by using glass as raw material
are their high ability to keep dimensions and to have a very high
tensile strength together with less elongation.
Furthermore they provide a fire protection as well.

Polyester
|
VITRULAN® Polyester fabrics are used if a high tensile strength
together with high elasticity is necessary for the finished product.
E.g. for sealing membranes.
Furthermore fibres made of polyester have a high shearing strength with
a great resistance against bending and braking.

Fabric with fleece – both made of glass:

Vitrulan® glass fabrics combined with
glass fleece are mainly suitable
for producing high quality membranes. Usually used for bituminous base
sheetings and sealing sheetings made of plastic.
Also available with non-flammable finish which is suitable for
insulation- and light-weight -building boards. |
Polyester fabric with glass
fleece
|
Vitrulan® polyester fabric combined with
glass fleece is the best choice if high elasticity and bending strength
is requested to membranes.
This type of composite achieves such high strengths which usually can
be effected by very tight fabrics or heavy polyester fleeces.

Vitrulan®
glass fibre fabrics can be covered on metal or plastic foils without
any difficulties.
It effects a higher stability of damageable materials because the
fabric prevents cracks and enhances puncturability as well.
